Sanchez Davis

Clinical Lead Physiotherapist

Sanchez Davis, Clinical Lead Physiotherapist at Tom Astley Physiotherapy

Sanchez is a Chartered Physiotherapist and Clinical Lead, bringing a wealth of experience across both NHS and private practice settings. He qualified in 2019 from City St George's, University of London, following a degree in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of Portsmouth in 2014.

Since qualifying, Sanchez has developed a broad and diverse clinical background, with experience in trauma and orthopaedics, accident and emergency, and neurological rehabilitation within the NHS. He later transitioned into private practice, where he specialises in musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries, supporting individuals of all levels — from the general population to elite athletes.

Alongside his clinical work, Sanchez has extensive experience in elite sport. He has worked with professional football academy players at Queens Park Rangers and currently supports athletes at Crystal Palace Football Club. His sporting expertise also spans athletics, where he has worked with sprinters, jumpers, throwers, and distance runners, as well as athletes in basketball, rugby, netball, and badminton.

Sanchez is also actively involved in physiotherapy education, having taught undergraduate and postgraduate students at City St George's, University of London and the University of East London. He regularly contributes to the wider sporting community, including presenting on injury prevention and rehabilitation at the Nike collaboration with Rox Queens for London Hyrox 2025, and supporting major sporting events such as the Brighton Marathon and Sidemen charity football matches at Wembley Stadium.

As Clinical Lead, Sanchez is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care, while fostering a collaborative and patient-centred environment. He takes a whole-person approach to rehabilitation, combining clinical expertise with a strong emphasis on movement, performance, and long-term injury prevention.

He holds additional qualifications in personal training and exercise prescription, manual therapy, dry needling and medical acupuncture, dry cupping therapy, ITMIFF certification, and sports taping and strapping.

With a background as a personal trainer and a former national-standard triple jump athlete, Sanchez has a deep personal understanding of the demands of sport and performance. Outside of work, he enjoys travelling, attending live events, and spending time in nature.
